On Mother's Day / Christian Family Sunday, we celebrated worship 1950's style.  People were invited to come dressed for church as they might have in those days - hats, suits, gloves - their 'Sunday Best'.  The worship was a typical format for the 1950's - beginning with the singing of 'Holy, Holy, Holy' and including a hymn sing with all the old favourite gospel hymns.  A congregational photo was taken immediately following the worship, and then everyone adjourned to the church hall for a Mother's Day Tea - which included sandwiches and squares United Church style and tea & coffee served in china teacups poured from 2 silver tea services.
